Baby Blue Sneaker

After few creation of baby booties for girls, here comes the baby booties for boys in the shape of sneakers. Aren’t they cute?

I wish I can turn back time to have made this for Baby B! Well, everything happen for a reason and I wouldn’t have got here to where I am today if not for Baby B. Having Baby A being ultimate independent to manage her school works accordingly, Baby B is just the opposite. He requires more coaching and encouragement. However, having said that, Baby B had improved tremendously over the months and I hope to continue to guide and encourage him to find his passion – other than computer/mobile games, that is ^.-

Please find the patterns below for your reference :

WHAT YOU NEED?

  1. Yarn : Bettle range from Spotlight (Cotton-50%, Acrylic-50%). 2 colour : Blue and Grey
  2. Crochet Hook : 4.0
  3. Scissors
  4. Stitch marker

PATTERNS AS BELOW :

SOLE

Ch 10, Start in the 2nd ch from the hook.  Work into back loops only.

Round 1 : 2 HDC into the same. 1 HDC into the next 7 sts. 6 HDC into the last ch. 1 HDC into next 7 sts. 2 HDC into the last. Join with ss

Round 2 : 2HDC into next 2 sts. 1 HDC into next 7 sts. 2HDC into the next 6 sts. 1 HDC into next 7 sts. 2HDC into next 2 sts. Join with ss.

Round 3 : Repeat (2HDC, 1 HDC) 2 times. HDC 7. Repeat (2HDC, 1HDC) 6 times. 7HDC. Repeat (2HDC, 1HDC) 2 times. Join with ss.

UPPER PART

Round 4 : ch 1, BPHdc into each Sts.

[BPHdc : Back post half double crochet, working like a HDC but you insert the hook through the previous stitch into the next stitch to do the HDC]

FRONT FLAP / TONGUE

Change the colour of the yarn to Blue.

Mark 20 sts on the front part of the shoe (with 10 to the left and 10 to ther right and place a stitch marker on each side.

Round 1 : Start with the left marker, Work 1 HD into the BLO (Back loop only) until you reach the next stitch marker.

Round 2 : Work 1 sc into the next 4 sts, skip 2, 1DC into the next 8 sts, skip 2, 1 sc into the last 4 sts. Ch1 and turn.

Round 3 : Work qsc into first 2 sts, skip 2, 1 DC into the next 8 sts, skip 2, 1sc into the last 2 sts. Ch 1 and turn.

Round 4 : Skip 2 sts, 1 DC into the next 8 sts, Skip 1, 1ss into the last one, Ch2 and turn

Round 5 : 1 DC into the next 9 sts.

Round 6 :  1sc, 1 DC into the next 7 sts, 1ss.

Cut yarn and fasten off.

BODY AND HEEL

Remain with colour Blue

Covering 2 sts of the Front Flap/Tongue and start sts.

Round 1 : 2 sc in FLO (Front Loop Only), 1 sc into each sts BLO (Back Loop Only) until the last 2 sts in FLO. Ch 1 and turn.

Round 2 : Skip 1, 1 HDC into the next 24 sts, Skip 1, 1HDC into the last sts. Ch 1 and turn.

Round 3: 1 Sc into the next 26 sts. Ch 1 and turn.

Round 4 : Skip 1, 1 HDC into the next 22 sts, skip 1, 1 HDC into the last 1. Ch1 and turn.

Round 5 : 1 Sc into the next 24 sts.

SHOE LACE

Use Colour Grey, Create slip knot, and ch 90 or as long as required.
