Baby B amazed me yesterday when he told me that he had requested for extra Kumon class today. I thought I had heard wrongly but he reconfirmed that since today he has no class, due to holiday declaration by the school in conjuction of the SPM examination, he had requested whether the teacher can guide him separately – one-to-one session. He told me that when the teacher agree to open the Centre “JUST FOR HIM”, the other teacher exclaimed “Are you sure you going to open the Centre just for one student?” His teacher said “For sure! It’s been a while since I had a student who is so enthusiastic. Be here at 4pm!”

I’m not sure to cry or to celebrate… Few months ago, it is a nightmare to get Baby B to finish his daily Kumon homework. I still remember once he asked me “Is Kumon more important or I’m more important?” Out of anger, I said Kumon is important and before he let me finish my statement, he stomped away and locked up in his room… Today, his turnaround attitude towards Kumon already made me a proud mama!

This had been the attitude that I have had envisioned to mold him in…ie to strive from his own will to achieve his goal. I guess my few months of effort, spending time with him, guiding him, loving him, cooked his favourite dish, bake his favourite cookies and sharing stories of my life experience do see some “light”. 😂😂

Before his class, we enjoyed simple lunch together at Leisure Mall, his favourite… Family Mart Oden and cuppa Tealive’s Bang Bang Milk Tea! He’s happy and learning, I’m happy toooooo!
