Last week, a close friend shared an idea with me to crochet key pouch. In fact, it is a wonderful idea. Without me realising it, I’m using one all these while. Thank you my dear wonderful friend for the lovely idea! Muak! muak!

In fact, many years back, I received a personalised fabric key pouch as a gift, with my name imprinted on it, of which, I had been using it till todate. I find it very useful to enclose the bunch of keys that I had plus it also act as a shield to protect other items being scratched by sharp keys’ edges. Everyone should have at least one in their bags – house keys, car key, special closet key, etc….

So, I went into the researching mode and tried out some simple patterns with different colour tone. It was satisfying to complete each one with different design.

The first one that I completed was pink and purple, decorated with a simple pink flower. A girlish design.

Then I went on to experiment with some Christmas colour (Red and white). It’s then a pouch with Christmas theme.

The latest design that I was experimenting with was Totoro Key Pouch! In fact, the picture that was shared by my close friend was Totoro and I just thought – why not try that as the first figurine key pouch to see the outcome. Furthermore, Totoro, used to be one of Baby A’s favourite cartoon too. Baby A had definitely watched it more than once …. the only thing I remembered from the movie was a cute phrase “Dee Dee Daa, Bom Bom Baa”, which Baby A use to recite over and over again. Thus, the phrase associated with Totoro lingers till todate. Not bad after all, ya?
