This is a real quick and yummy dessert. It’s great to prepare them with kids as it’s like “playdoh” time! It’s always fun to squish, squash and shape the balls before boiling them. It can be served hot or cold based on your one’s preferences.

- Sweet potatoes are nutritious, high in fiber, very filling, and delicious.
- Sweet potatoes are usually orange but also found in other colors, such as white, red, pink, violet, yellow, and purple.
Let’s look at the simple ingredients required for this simple recipe.
Ingredients
- 200g purple sweet potatos
- 85g tapioca flour
- 4-5 tbsp warm water
- sugar to taste
- coconut milk, optional
- palm sugar, optional

Methods
- Steam sweet potato for around 25-30 minutes, or until the sweet potato is soft and mashable.
- Mash the potato and add the tapioca flour.
- Give it a good mix and add in the warm water little by little.
- Stop adding water once the dough is formed and easy to manage.
- Divide into 4 portions and work on each portion and cover the rest with cling wrap.
- Roll the dough into long log and split into smaller portions and roll them into round ball shape.
- Bring 2 cups of water to boil and drop the potato balls into the boiling water.
- It’s done when the balls floats above.
- Add in sugar to taste.
- Serve with coconut milk and drizzle with palm sugar for the awesome dessert kick! Hahaha!

This dessert can be served hot or cold based on your preference. I personally prefer them hot! They are much softer while hot and tend to get more chewy when it’s cold.
